Brian McElligott

Telos Academy, Carter House

Clinical Director of Residential Care - North Campus

Brian is the only therapist who has ever been able to reach our son and achieve real progress with him. When one approach quit working, he’d go back to the drawing board and build a creative new approach. Eventually, building the trust with our son that no one else had was a big leap forward.  -parent

Brian brings more than two decades of experience working with teens and young adults in the mental health field, offering both depth of expertise and a steady, trusted presence. His warm, approachable demeanor and natural ability to build rapport quickly create an environment where students and families feel seen, safe, and ready to engage in meaningful work.

His clinical background is both broad and specialized, with particular strength in addressing attachment-related challenges and relational wounds. Brian has a gift for helping students move beyond self-doubt and disconnection, guiding them toward a deeper sense of trust, identity, and inherent worth.

He is especially passionate about working with families as they confront difficult, often long-standing patterns. Brian finds great purpose in helping families not only navigate these challenges, but implement lasting, meaningful change that strengthens relationships and creates a healthier path forward.
